The red currant produces abundant clusters of berries in July that are perfect for juicing, jamming and jelly. The bush is hardy and resistant to diseases.

It forms a 1-1.5 meter high bush with decorative foliage. Prune after harvest, but please allow the bush to grow for 2-3 years before thinning. Then remove damaged, hanging and ingrown branches from the base for a better harvest. Thrives in loamy, nutritious and well-drained soil. Placed with advantage in sun-shady locations. Fertilize with low-nitrogen fertilizer but lime regularly.
