- Hornbeam is very suitable as a hedge plant where there is a demand for a dense and fast-growing plant. Hornbeam "Carpinus Betulus"
Hornbeam "Carpinus Betulus"Also called Carpinus Betulus (Latin) originates from the southern parts of Europe.
The trunk runs straight and vertical from the ground to the top. When planting, a support is required for the plant until it has rooted and become stable, in most cases a bamboo stick is used for this. The leaves are medium green with a matte surface. The plant can be cut on the sides during growth to "seal" itself, the top shoot should not be cut before the plant has reached the height you want on the hedge.
